Dutch-Costa Rican artist Erika Stanley grew up surrounded by artists. That inspired Erika to become an artist herself at an early age. Erika created various art series in her own style which were exposed and sold in several countries. In addition, Erika has become known as a specialist in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. She paints modern day city scapes and objects that many people value in Van Gogh style. She started her own brand for this which is internationally known as ‘Like Van Gogh’ and, in The Netherlands, as ‘Als Van Gogh’.
Rotterdam Like van Gogh In this Art Cube room Erika presents her special project Rotterdam Like Van Gogh. Like many others, Erika loves Rotterdam for its great cosmopolitan looks and atmosphere. These wall paintings are her ode to the city and everyone who enjoys to be here. Rotterdam Like Van Gogh is not a realistic picture or city plan, but an overview in Van Gogh style of all the great locations this wonderful city has to offer. Every little part of the walls in this room was carefully measured by Erika, before she painted the shapes and details of the puzzle that you now see spread out on the walls.
